Even if you only have a few days to spend in Mongolia there are many possibilites to visit the great outdoors, visit nomadic families and take part in Mongolias amazing history.

On this short tour you can visit both the grand Genghis Khan Statue, with it´s affiliated museum, the Terelj Gorkhi National park and the Aryapala temple. A good combination of mongolian history, nature and culture in a small package.
It is possible to do this as a day trip or a multiday tour. The difference between the one and two day tour is that you with two days will have more time to take in the nature in the park, to stroll around the museum and will spend a nice evening and night in the geers/yurts. The three day tour will also include a visit to a Turkish monument and a visit to a Kazak family. Se more about the different options below.
In all three alternatives we depart Ulaanbaatar early in the morning and reach the destination after about two hours. During our visit in the park you will be able to try horse riding and have close contact with eagles and vultures. The Genghis Khan statue with its 40 meter and 250 tonnage stainless steel is both impressive and also a good reminder of the proud mongolian history. The informative exhibition in the museum will give you a chance to learn more about this in depth. During our visit our guides will provide you with tasty meals.
Depending on the length of tour you have chosen, you will either head back to Ulaanbaatar or spend the evening and night in the geers/yurts in the National Park.
I you choose the three day tour you will also visit the ancient turkish monument and experiece a homestay with a Kazak family.

On this three-day tour you will visit both Terelj National park and Hustai national Park. The latter famous as a sanctuary for the Mongolian wild horse. From the Hustai we travel south to visit the semi-dessert, where we will ride camels and stay the night with locals.
Day 1
We depart in the early morning and reach Terelj National Park after about two hours. During our visit in the park you will be able to try horse riding and have close contact with eagles and vultures. After this we drive a short distance to the Chiggis Khan Statue, with it´s affiliated museum, where you can learn more about the Mongolian history and the Khan empire. We spend the evening and night in the geers/yurts in the national park.
Day 2
After breakfast we drive south to Hustai National Park. Here we spend the whole day in the over 50.000 ha large park. In addition to the Mongolian wild horse it is possible to spot Altai wapiti, wild sheep, ibex, cosac fox, Mongolian marmot and many many more animals. We spend the night camping or visiting nomadic family.
Day 3
Form Hustai we continue south to Elsen tasarkhai. Here you will experience the semi-desert and the magnificent sand dunes. To get a taste of how the nomadic people used to travel the desert in ancient times we try camel riding. We spend the evening and night visiting a nomadic family.
Day 4
After breakfast we say farewell to the nomadic family, the camels and the semi-desert. During our drive north, going back to Ulaanbaatar, we take our time to stop for photo of the landscape and the Mongolian steppe. And of course for a tasty lunch. Back in Ulaanbaatar we make sure to leave you safely back at your hotel/guesthouse.
